CAT POEMS 2

CONGRATULATIONS TO GOT@GRTCATS

Cats do not love people
You all know its true
For when you feed a cat
He acts like its his due!

And when he sits upon your lap,
Its for his comfort only
Your lap is warm and comfy...
No matter that you were lonely..

My cat does not love me
I can tell that it is so
When home I come and turn the key
He is sitting waiting there for me!

He really doesn't care
If I am here or there, But he loves to share The space that is MY chair!

My cat doesn't love me,
He just sits on my knee
And gives me kitty kisses
As I sip my tea!

As I write a letter,
He thinks he could do better..
Is why he sits and watches
To make sure there are no blotches!

Close to the PC he will get
Watching while I surf the net
Its not that he loves his pet
He's making sure I don't get wet!

If I want him to come to me,
He stares as if he cannot see,
And then creeps away quietly
To come when called? It cannot be!

And so its very clear to see
My cat really does love me
He just thinks its very odd
If I don't treat him as a god!

Little Woman

Guess there's always room for more, but unless I hear from someone, THIS IS IT!

I Dream of Cats

Apache and Cheyenne invite cats to their party of fun.
Because they scare so easily these two will probably run.

Oh, I dream of cats.

Argyle arrives, washing his socks.
He brought Toronto, whose ship’s up on blocks.

Oh, I dream of cats.

Ferret and Snoopy have red hats to wear,
While prize winning Simba curls up in my hair.

Oh, I dream of cats.

Blondie and Sara Dan are all meows and purrs.
Eeeww! Poor Bartie, too bad that farts are his curse.

Oh. I dream of cats.

Topaz, Jasper, Jaci, and Jade are stalking the diminishing stash.
But, Nellie, who has a ball on her belly, just wants to give that a bash.

Oh, I dream of cats.

Megan, George, and Takoda begin rehearsing musically,
When in comes a mess, of 29 more or less, to join the activity.

Oh, I dream of cats.

Missy and Chelsea Ann are doing a dance involving a fan.
So, Hedgewedge, Scallywag, and Timpodge keep the beat on a tuna fish can.

Oh, I dream of cats.

LouLou, in her grumpy knickers, brings along Tiggy, Casper, Bobby,
Bluebell, Blossom, Molly, Tara, Sasha, Boo, and Lacey.
Cor Blimey, it’s an invasion of limeys from across the sea.

Oh, I dream of cats.

Lord Baldr and Sir Spats escort Ladies Freya and Ariadne.
Well, Oliver only has 3 legs, but he loves a good high tea.

Oh, I dream of cats.

Noelle and Sam are making catnip jam from a recipe found in a book.
Leave it to Travis and Lini to play the ninny and eat it before it could cook.

Oh, I dream of cats.

Thomasina, Tiggy, Felix, and Mitzi lack a fat cat for their card table.
Along comes Rusty, feeling quite trusting, not seeing his “fresh meat” label.

Oh, I dream of cats.

Polly Paws, Onyx, Felicia, Twicket, Glacier, Ivy, Pete,
Introduce their newbie Boots who’s a tuxedo, neat and sweet.
Oh, I dream of cats.

Oh, I dream of cats.

…A moment of silence brings the room to a hush.
Thoughts of Rainbow Bridge make everyone shush.
All think of Mazey, little Al, Harry, Dominique,
And all of our loved ones… each one was unique…

Then Kali and Allie start a fight with each other,
And every cat screams for its father or mother,
…Waking me up!

OH, WHAT A CAT-ASTROPHE!

Poem for Molly

OK, I know she is not a cat, but she was feeling left out. It may not be very good, but here it is!

Joy, Joy, Joy
Molly looks at the world this way
Bark, Bark, Bark
Molly greets the world this way
Fun, Fun, Fun
Molly's world is this way
Joy, Bark, Fun
Perhaps we should all see the world this way.

I have a cat called Bart
Who sometimes does smelly farts !!
He looks at his brothers
Then hides under the covers
Smelly boy smelly boy bart !!

Fluffy

one cat
two cats
three cats
FOUR!
in this house
please please
no more!
cat upstairs
cats downstairs
cats end up
most everywhere
shedding here
and shedding there
I can only sigh
as now I'm sure
just as to why
they call it FURniture

Der Furher

A tyrant in fur
he commands with a purr;
to prepare his food
in a tone quite rude.
Then the litter boxed I must clean,
he meows so mean.
A lion, a tiger a wild cat in a cave,
at them he scoffs - far better to have a human as the cat's slave!

HERE KITTY KITTY

Here kitty kitty, good morning to you too.
Here kitty kitty, what do you want to do?
Here kitty kitty, do you want to play?
Here kitty kitty, oh, you are always in the way.
Here kitty kitty, do you want to eat?
Here kitty kitty, I'll give you a nice treat.
Here kitty kitty, do you want to play with the ball?
Here kitty kitty, why don't you chase them all?
Here kitty kitty, it's time for you to rest.
Here kitty kitty, you can nap up on my chest.
Here kitty kitty, it's time to eat again.
Here kitty kitty, I see you hiding in the den.
Here kitty kitty, you're as supple as a willow.
Here kitty kitty, you can sleep up on my pillow.
Here kitty kitty, Oh you want me to come to bed?
Here kitty kitty, you can sleep up by my head.
Here kitty kitty, it's been a long day so it seems.
Here kitty kitty, good night, sweet kitty dreams.

Nan

He came from the School of Hard Knocks
Today Argyle cleans his socks
Found waiting in a Shelter
Now, he plays Helter Skelter
But it is 2am say the clocks!
Smiling, Argyle cleans his socks.

BLINDCAT

Into my life, a tuxedo kitten came,
she was a stray, without a name,
we gave her kibble,
and watched the kitten nibble,
we took her into our life;
and she struck me in the heart like a well sharpened knife;
she stayed for awhile;
God took her away;
and good grief, I now can't avoid a stray;

thank the Lord for Mitty;
she was my best kitty;
and i never will forget;
my most special pet.........

A Gift from God

It’s clear that the cat is a creature of God,
Given by the Creator with a smile and a nod.
This little critter was made to give pleasure,
And ease life’s stresses…all beyond measure.

A warm, sunny window makes a wonderful perch
From which its kingdom it’ll continually search.
It’s always alert for signs of danger,
Be it a stray, or the approach of a stranger.

During the day, it frequently naps,
Recharging those batteries for cat-and-mouse laps.
And then, at night, it stalks the place,
Leaping among furniture with ease and grace.

The demands of a cat must be heeded.
Its means of getting attention cannot be exceeded:
Heartwarming purrs, howls and screams,
Jumping on your bed, interrupting your dreams.

So, a cat won’t live with just any fool.
No, a cat needs a home that bends to its rule.
A cat’s companion must be a natural giver.
One who provides comfort, and treats made of liver.
